Mission: Milo

Milo is safe and sound at the Unega Sanctuary. He arrived drastically underweight and suffering from intestinal infection, so he’s been doing lots of eating, sleeping, and healing.

It took several days before he’d let anyone touch him; he’d clearly never experienced human love or attention. It’s been a joy to watch him blossom! He’s still quite shy, but has relaxed enough for the occasional belly rub. One of our favorite volunteers (Sandy) even taught him to climb stairs - 3 steps down, 2 steps up - and reported the process as both drawn out and absolutely adorable. Milo’s making friends with other dogs, too! They’ve helped teach him trust.

Milo’s been examined, vaccinated, and medicated (thank you St. Francis Pet Clinic!), but he still needs time to recover and gain confidence. Once he’s ready, we’ll find him a forever home with an adoptive family.
